Villa di Tizzano is
a splendid, 16th-century villa. The property of one of Florence’s
oldest families and respected wine makers, it stands on a hill overlooking
the Tizzano Chianti vineyards. The site originally housed an 11th
century observation tower, which was enlarged in the 16th century,
and restored in the 19th century. The villa commands breathtaking views of rolling vineyard hills and the Florence Duomo. The picturesque, two-acre garden was designed in the 1930s by the famous English architect, Cecil Pinsent. The garden leads up to the front yard of the house and makes the perfect spot for reading, relaxing and al fresco dining. Villa di Tizzano is the perfect luxurious place for relaxion and grand entertaining. Luminaries such as General George Patton and Elizabeth Taylor have been among its honored guests. |

Ground Floor: A large entrance hall and dining room open onto a large, fully-equipped kitchen. One living room has parquet floors, a fireplace and television; a second living room leads to the front garden. A large, elaborately decorated ballroom has painted terracotta floors. | ||||||||||||||
| First Floor: A two-ramp stairway leads up to a large wardrobe and corridor. To the right there is a double bedroom with basin, and bathroom with shower. On the left there is a spacious, double bedroom with sitting room and fireplace and small en suite bathroom. Double bedroom with parquet floor, fireplace, en suite bathroom with tub.
