This Bed and Breakfast is located within the Renaissance Park of Villa Rovezzano, at the southern entrance of Florence on the old "Aretina" Roman consular road, which still connects Florence with Arezzo.

A large lounge with a billiard table, piano, fireplace, and a reading area are available for guests, who may also use the kitchen.

During the second half of the nineteenth century, Villa Rovezzano used to belong to the Baroness Fiorella Favard de L'Anglade, and since 1946, houses the precious artisanal weaving factory created by Countess Maria Antonietta di Frassineto, who wished to continue the antique Florentine Renaissance art of hand weaving draping fabrics.

For fifty years, the Rovezzano Weaving establishment has carried out specific research in textile museums, studying antique paintings and engravings, in order to learn old methods of dying raw materials and weaving. Creating and artistically hand making textiles is very difficult and time-consuming, but this gives these fabrics an enormous charm.

Famous designers and private collectors are the patrons of this villa/factory, among them Italian acctress Gina Lollobrigida, whose picture is placed in the showroom.You can observe the fabric production techniques in the villa's historical archives.
